To take the country back the country in this midterm election from the Greedy Old Perverts is going to require the Democrats go back to basics of telling the truth about this gang including citing their "wonderful record" on moral values, with the Congressional page chasing/emailing sex perversion and cover up of same that goes right along with it, the lying to get the country into the Iraq War, the phony stand these jerks take on federal government funded health care for the folks when these same swine have their snouts as deep in that public trough as they can get it, but keep referring to it when it comes to the mass of the American people as socialized medicine. Give this country's people a break from such rank hypocrisy! People have to see the GOP for the absolute frauds, fakes, liars, mean spirited, conniving, scheming, double dealing, double talking, low lifes they really are, to throw these most evil politicians in US history out of office and put an end to their reign of terror against the American and other peoples, putting them back in their "beloved private sector," where they clearly belong since they hate the public sector so much. Thus the Democrats, and I don't include those such as Joe Lieberman in that category, need to grab and hold the high moral ground, and against these Republicans, they ought not to have any difficulty doing so, as these low lifes have ethics lower than that of animals in a zoo as I pointed out in a previous column, and they will do and or say anything to win, and their evil seems to know no bounds.

That being the case, it greatly behooves the Democrats to drop all this silly and wrong headed talk about the GOP and even this administration being incompetent. Evil they are. Incompetent doesn't have a damn thing to do with it. Actually all such talk does is gain sympathy for the jack asses. Give it a rest! Those who can hold onto the Congress the way the Republicans have since they took over there in 1995 as a result of the 1994 election, and only ended up with a divided Congress once since then, and at that time only because Jim Jeffords crossed the aisle to back the Democrats, not the result of an election. This doesn't mean that the GOP won't steal to win. They don't keep Diebold around just to take up space, folks! As I already put it so bluntly, this gang will do and or say anything to win, and just bet on that. That last TV ad practically saying that a vote for a Democratic Congress was a vote for the "terrorists" was showed just how low these damn swine will go to win. But they sure as hell aren't incompetent. If only they
were as George Lackoff, Marc Ettlinger, and Sam Ferguson put it in an article in Common Dreams, they would have already been long ago on their way out of political power, but such is not at all the case. Just keep after the absolute lack of morality of these jerks, and even to the point of holding their own base, the Protestant evangelicals in contempt to show how absolutely lacking in any ethics this crowd is, and victory ought to be in sight.

Furthermore, for the voters themselves who want to take back the country from this wrecking crew, don't hesitate to right away go down to apply to vote by absentee ballot, as absentee ballots are more difficult to steal by Diebold, and though not absolutely free of any vulnerability to a steal, as in some cases the Republican criminal types might, as they did in 2004, resort to simply throwing out a whole batch of absentee ballots from heavily Democratic areas, at least the gangsters have to be more careful about this than is the case with Diebold which will have more than a few "magic" electronic voting machines which are automatically programmed to only record GOP votes.

The talk of incompetence of this administration and the GOP obscures what really counts, their absolute immorality, which is in direct contradiction of their talk about moral values, when it's apparent the only values for these money grubbing types is that of the green back dollar which they worship.

If the people in the USA today like the Iraq War, megalomania, perversion, and cover up of same, then they gotta love the GOP and definitely need to keep the GOP in control of Congress. This Mark Foley fellow has a problem, but the gang in the GOP covering up all of it has an ethics problem or complete lack of ethics. What did Dennis Hastert and the rest of the GOP Congressional leadership know and when did they know it? On the matter of GOP Congressman Foley sexual abuse of under age pages, it looks like the "family values " GOP Congressional leadership knew years ago. That's the evidence that's now been accumulating. This must be a kind of "Burger King" "Family Values" Combo courtesy of W and GOP of "Have it their way," as in, "How about a little, I mean lot of sex perversion and cover up" throw in with that "family values" combo or else, because they don't want to hear about anything which might hurt their party politically in this country. "Now just trust 'em," as the piles of the rich and super rich white men's money and Diebold put them where they are. Lord Acton, that
great Englishman, said it best, "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Damn, doesn't that really hit the old nail on the head here? With the Iraq War, which is really perversion beyond the sexual perversion of Foley, the GOP and their trusty maintream press are surely doing an "admirable job" of continuing the cover up of this absoutely outrageous obscenity based on lies and BS. The same is true with W, our imperial president's insane grab for all the political power and elimination of what little check on this "sovereign's" power that might put the USA to close to England after Magna Carta, an "agression" which W, this "fearless leader" and his claque won't come near letting "stand," as W's dad would have put it. How's that for a bit of arrogance of power? Yeah, "That 1215 Magna Carta thing" just gotta be a "relic of the past," as "our man" would be sure to put it if he could speak English, but with Condi Rice, the Oreo Cookie in Chief's help, translation will almost instantly be at hand for "our man" in such circumstances, which is more than could be said for "Peace being at hand" the way Henry Kissinger said it was in 1972 to BS the American people into giving later to be resigned in disgrace GOP president another term.

But, hey if the American people like a culture of corruption and entitlement, they'll just love the GOP, and have to keep that party in control of the Congress. Look this party knows how to be corrupt, and with all the power the GOP has accumulated over the last six years and with Acton's admonition about power and corruption, it ought not be any mystery how that could be at all, except maybe for the politically retarded Mr and Ms McGoos of politics and public affairs who might need a little Ross Perot graphs and charts "It's simple" explanation.

It's clear the contempt this adminstration and its fanatical, loony right/far right elite inner circle have for the mass of the American people, but now it can be revealed that this same country club neo con gang has the same contempt for its Protestant evangelical religious fanatical supporters, and have been saying just that, with even Tucker Carlson, one of their own saying just that. Now it's time to say thanks to Carlson and another one of those who've come forward with the harsh truth about the neo con political elites. They just wanted to use these people to keep themselves in political power. "Isn't that so very nice" of them?

That's about it in an nut shell. Just "be sure" to vote a straight GOP ticket this time like the power of GOP to keep abusing that power depended on it, because it does! It's up to the American people now, as long as Diebold can't steal this one. All the GOP is saying is "give their culture of corruption and entitlement" a chance and another one and another one.

The race for Congressperson, CP for Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District today features a real fight against fascism that Keith Ellison, the Democratic candidate is waging, and that as the Second World War documentary would say is "why we fight." Fascism is just the right term, therefore neo cons, lighten up, as the Oxford Dictionary of the English Language defines fascism as "extreme right wing, totalitarian nationalism similar to that of Italy's. The key word is "similar," not identical or otherwise Francisco Franco couldn't be counted as fascist. This is most absolutely the case as that is what this country has under the current dictatorship of the rich white man headed up by a dictator who has already said he wouldn't mind having "a dictatorship" as long as he was the dictator, called the US Constitution "a scrap of paper," and knocked out every last bit of check on his power pushing this country back to where England was before Magna Carta back before that crucial step in 1215. Ellison, being a firm believer in democracy and the checks and balances of our founding fathers, has come out for impeachment of our W, our current chief fascist. Both Ellison's viable opponents, and this leaves out a Green candidate, who hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell of winning, the candidate of the GOP, the official fascist party of the USA and the "Independence" candidate who brags about being a TV producer for Fox fiction, which glories in as Winston Churchill would call it, "creativity with the facts," to the benefit of the loony right/far right neo con jobs refuse to take any meaningful stand against the fascism of the current US adminstration, which has to start, at a minimum with impeachment or some significant move in that direction such as censureship backed by Russ Feingold, the outstanding and solid progressive senator from Wisconsin. The woman independent candidate has not even said one word about this administration's steady march toward fascism even now that this evil, lying, phony, blaspheming tyrant in the White House has repealed Magna Carta of 1215 and ancient England that he would be almost indistinguishable from Charles I, with his love of the Star Chamber torture routine of someone being guilty until tortured to the point of admitting guilt, who sought to do the same in England, but for the fact that Charles I could speak English. Then the candidate of the official fascist party, who is so worshipped by the local version of Der Sturmer, the GOP Star Tribune, has faked having Mohandas Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, and others but not that it apparently kept him from engaging in a bit of violence toward his former wife, but other than that he's probably pretty "decent" for a member of the USA's official party. Hey, for a storm trooper for W, he's likely a "a real nice fellow." But not nice enough that his brother agrees as he's already told Ellison.

But people in this district need to realize that as Henry Wallace said in 1942 in Madison Square Garden, "This is a fight between the free world and the slave world." To paraphrase that Frank Capra documentary, "This is fight between the common man and woman and those who would drive them back into slavery." "If we lose this we lose it all." That's what this fight is about! "Keep hope alive," leave the fascists behind. For those those GOP jackasses are throwing all they can at Ellison with fraudulent charges of anti Semitism, soundly refuted by prominent local Jews who met with Ellison. The GOP here is just falling back on the old Joseph McCarthy playbook of going after the opposition using guilt by association, with the GOP in this case charging that just because Ellison associated with a black leader who some suspect of being anti Semitic, and who has at least made anti Semitic comments, then that makes Ellison guilty by association, just as McCarthy would claim about liberals and progressives who simply associated with people suspected of being Communists in his day that those liberals and progressives were based on guilt by association guilty until proven guilty similar to the routine under Charles I in England, where the same "wonderful" sense of "justice" prevailed. The GOP and the Star Tribune, their official newspaper of that party is beating drums for defeating Ellison and backing W's fascism and generally acting as an echo chamber for neo con, fascist lies as well as subtly appealing to Islamaphobia to hurt Ellison, with many among the Christian religion becoming brainwashed into fear and hatred of Moslems, especially black Moslems as once was the case with many white Protestants toward Irish Catholics. What the hell's the difference? If the GOP can't win fair, as usual they can appeal to fear and hatred of those different from those who happen now to be the majority race, color, and religion and rely on the old divide and rule strategy. This is worse than in 1960. At least then, the Republican campaign didn't come out so openly appealing to fear of John F Kennedy''s being an Irish Catholic, not that some wouldn't have loved to.

The folks in Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District can send a message that will be heard, not just around this country, but around this world, that they stand for "the free world" Americans, British, Canadians, and others from most of the rest of this world fought for in that Second World War and which Wallace spoke of in Madison Square Garden in 1942 and against the "slave world" of Walmart and the current fascist, neo con adminstration, and that they stand where they stood in 1960 in solidarity with those who said Jack Kennedy ought not to be denied the presidency simply because he was an Irish Catholic. Irish Catholics or black Moslems, it's still the fight against bigotry. Say no to neo con appeals to bigotry the way the Fifth District did to a subtler kind in 1960, and take a stand for what's right, not what's far right.

It's most likely this October as the fall midterm election approaches in the USA, the GOP administration and its thugs will pull an October surprise as they'll do anything to hold onto political power, no matter what lie they have to tell, whom they must smear, moral values they must fake, and relgion they must blaspheme to come out on top, then that's just what these gangsters with the morals lower than that of animals in a zoo will do.

What does that mean? How about that faked London airline plot, the one Craig Murray with top security clearances with British intelligence concluded was an outright fraud, as the "terrorists" who were going to make bombs out suntan lotion, shampoo, and whatever else on planes and blow them up with these "terrible" bombs are known not have had one airline ticket among all of them. People have a bit of tough time even damn getting on an airliner on British soil without an airline ticket no matter where the hell they say they're going, let alone get on and get to make a bomb out of suntan lotion, shampoo, and any other "terrible" thing they can make bombs out of on airliners. Then the simple matter that so many of these "terrorists" or in Crawford Texas, "tursts" didn't even have passports, which given how efficient the British Passport Agency is says they weren't
going to be getting on planes heading for the USA-- case closed.

But for those with the Mr McGoo grasp of international relations and public affairs, how about a little bit of the Ross Perot/ graphs and charts thing with it's simple: Tony Blair and W were falling into heavy duty domestic political disrepute as they well should be, all of a sudden British law enforcement "just flat out cracked" an absolutely abominable "terror plot" by folks with no airline tickets to get on planes and make bombs out of those things such as suntan lotion, shampoo, et al to blow up the very planes they couldn't even get on. Why it was "just so fortunate" for Blair and W's political hides that law enforcement folks cracked the case so completely and right down to the T. Now can you say I believe in the toothfairy? If you still believe in W and Blair's fairy tale about that London airline "terror plot," you ought to.

Now add to that the John Reid, the British Home Secretary running this domestic versionof the British war on terror, and the fact that he was once, says Murray, a hard core Stalinist and enforcer for the party line among Communists at Stirling University Students' Union where they had a rather good cash flow at the time, and Reid was known for beating up those who didn't tow the party line apparently coming from Moscow. Would you buy a "used war of terror" piece of propoganda from this fellow or bloke as the British would say? Hey, again it's simple. Blair and W are trying to fake you out, stress you out, and scare and fool the hell out of you. Don't let them!

So often in this country today when anyone, Jewish or Gentile criticizing Israel's policy in the Middlle East, and it damn well needs thorough condemnation, it's met with the absolutely phony charge of anti Semitism. Norman Solomon who is Jewish says that in a Common Dreams article dated May 7, 2006. These false charges of anti Semitism stifle debate and the completely justified criticism of Isreal which Arch Bishop Tutu and Nelson Mandela have made comparing Israel's treatment of the Palestinians with racist Apartheid South Africa's treatment of blacks.

An Israel military officer has admitted Israel that his country used cluster bombs up the kazoo in Lebanon. Add to that Israel uses its own death squads to knock off Palestinian leaders Israel doesn't like. It has policies toward the Palestinians which as Mandela and Tutu above refer to are really apartheid, separatist policies. Such policies are a formula for permanent war as are this US administration's foreign policies.

Here's a clue. Look at what Albert Einstein and other prominent American Jews said about Menachem Begin and his followers, who were surely less far to the right than those currently controlling the Israeli government. In a letter to the New York Times on December 4, 1948 they said, "Among the most disturbing political phenomena of our times is the emergence in the newly created state of Israel of the 'Freedom Party' (Tnuat Haherut) a politcal party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and soical appeal to the Nazi and Fascist Parties. It was formed out of the membership and following of the Irgun vai Leumi, a terrorist, right wing, chauvinist organization in Palestine." The letter continues, "The current visit of Menachem Begin, leader of this party, to the United States is obviously calculated to give the impression of American support for his party in the Israelit elections. . . Several Americans of national repute have lent their names to welcome his visit. It is inconeivable that those who oppose fascism throughout the world, if correctly informed as to Mr Begin's political record and perspectives, could add their names and support to the movement he represents."

On April 1, 1952 Einstein expressed concern about the need to curb "a kind of nationalism which has arisen in Israel if only to permit a friendly and fruitful coexistence with the Arabs." What would Einstein be saying now almost surely would be much more critical as things in Israel have much further to the right.

As Solomon so aptly points out Tricky Dick was surely a strong booster of the Israeli military and government,
but his anti Semitism is absolutely documented by Oval Office tapes showing a most extreme bigotry against Jews. Solomon also makes the most essential point that anti Semitism and opposition to Israeli policies are completely distinct matters, and need to be kept that way to avoid stifling needed debate over those policies. Like many other American Jews, Solomon visited Israel-- visited relatives on a kibbutz and in Tel Aviv in 1959. Solomon says if the US news media covered the Middle East with a single standard instead of the current double standard always favoring Israel no matter what, then debate over the Middle East would show how US Government support for Israeli policies then it would put in jeopardize this government's support for such policies. This he bases on information from the Israel human rights organization B'Tselem. The information documents systematic violation of Palestinian rights. Generally, Solomon contends Palestinian violence gets front page coverage and prominent broadcast coverage, but Israeli horrible homocides against Palestinians get little coverage with a tone lacking in any emotion.

The last two decades has seen more and more American Jews willing to criticize Israeli policies, despite such Israel-can-do-no-wrong outfits as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the American Jewish Committee, and the anti Defamation League. As Solomon puts it the USA's "biggest anti Semitism problem (today) has to do with he misuse of the label as a manipulative tactic to to short circuit debate about Washington's alliance with Israel."
