It must have been ages ago without being able to say just when, but surely well before Elizabeth I came to the throne in England, and it was almost surely in merry old England, where the nobility referred to as their lordships and ladyships, ran things just they way wanted to for their own benefit and had a trickle down type society which would make the most "devout" US Republican today damned envious. This must have been the beginning of the point where Elite Republican Guard Dogs of the USA of today came from with their ready reliance on Purina Gravy Train Chow to parasite off those who actually had to earn a living. Thus with the English nobility the movement toward the creation of Elite Republican Guard Dogs most surely began.

Some would even contend that a confluence took place between the beginning of the rich white man's affirmative action program, whose most "famous" member is now actually the chief occupant of the White House, and the origin of the Elite Republican Guard Dogs. Of course, in that time the US Republican Party hadn't even come into being. With that in mind, it's likely that soon as the term "Tory" came into use, it applied to those who were the true beginning of the rich white man's affirmative action program as it's known in this country today. Moreover, Tories became strong defenders of the earlier version of what would become the Elite Republican Guard Dogs.

In these earlier times in England, and later throughout Wales and Scotland after England conquered each respectively to form one nation state of three countries which at such point were no longer independent of each other but three countries in one making up the state of Great Britain, those at the bottom actually producing the wealth and earning a real living for themselves and their parasitic masters, would refer to their masters when men, which overwhelmingly was the case, as m'lord rather than as massa as the other slaves would do in the case on the "wonderful" plantations of the US antiebellum South a good bit later in history. In the US North a different kind of slavery held sway at least well into the 1830s and 1840s, if not later, but it just wasn't the official form of slavery, but it did keep the working class in the North in what was in fact a form of slavery to the rich and super rich, but it just didn't get called that.

In the 1830s though Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren, with all their emphasis on class struggle in supporting the "terrible" rabble among white men who didn't even own property would give a bit of a scare to those strong defenders of the rich white man's affirmative action program. The war on the bank during this time which was the war on the monopolistic US Bank, by both the Jackson and Van Buren administrations was also a little bit of problem for the rich white man's affirmative action program.

Although true enough some politicians, especially progressive ones, during the 1830s and 1840s did show some support for the working class in its struggle to get some degree of justice and decent treatment. This began, to a degree, to put the full fledged Elite Republican Guard Dog program on the run in the US North.

By the late 1850s, the same rich white man's affirmative action program was coming under attack from such "radicals" as Abraham Lincoln and many others especially as it had to do with the ante bellum US Southern style plantation/rich white man's affirmative action program. In 1860, Lincoln would get elected president, threatening the "very foundation" of the rich white man's affirmative action program in the US South.

Lincoln even went so far as to say unkind things about the rise of another rich white man's affirmative action program country which he saw coming referring to it as a "gilded age." Now that "wasn' t very nice" of old Lincoln to say that. Now was it?

Now for a bit of diggression, with the rich and super rich getting more and more of the wealth which they will be real tight with, with W's predecessor's deregulation of banking and virtual elimination of the social safety net, and the fact that those with less rich are the ones who have been the engine of economic recovery time and again in the USA, a depression as bad or worse than the 1930s one is coming up in the years ahead.

But for a long time from Lincoln's death until 1913 when Woodrow Wilson came into the White House, the rich white man's affirmative action program went largely unchallenged. But that "terrible" Wilson actually made the rich white man pay his share of the taxes to Uncle Sam by putting through the federal income tax.
